FAQs

How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

Finding the right fit is an important part of the therapy process. I offer a free consultation call where we can talk about what you're looking for, answer any questions you may have, and see if working together feels like a good match. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, always tailored to your unique experiences.

Do you take insurance?

Yes—I’m in network with Aetna and Optum. If you have a different provider, I can offer a monthly superbill for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.

Do you only work with clients who have eating disorders?

No. In addition to eating disorders, I specialize in anxiety and OCD. Many of my clients also navigate perfectionism, body image concerns, or overlapping challenges. I create a safe, compassionate space to work through whatever you're facing.

What therapy approaches do you use?

I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Treatment is always adapted to your needs, goals, and strengths.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

Both. I see clients virtually throughout California and offer in-person sessions in Seal Beach. You’re welcome to choose what feels most supportive and convenient for you.

Why do I need to be in California to do virtual therapy with you?

Licensing laws require therapists to only provide care in the states where they’re licensed. Since I’m licensed in California, clients must be physically located in the state during our sessions—even if we’re meeting virtually.

Is virtual therapy confidential?

Yes. I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure your sessions are private and confidential. I also follow strict ethical and legal guidelines to protect your information.

How often will we meet for sessions?

It depends on your needs. Most clients start with weekly sessions, but we’ll collaborate on a schedule that supports your goals and progress.

How long does therapy usually last?

Therapy looks different for everyone. Some people come in with a specific goal and feel ready after a few months, while others benefit from ongoing support. We’ll work together to figure out what feels right for you.
